Ephesians 2:10
For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
So the questions we were to ask ourselves is:
- What do you think God wants you to do TODAY? THIS MONTH? THIS YEAR?
- How are you going to get started?
This is a very serious question that we NEED to really pray about! How often do we allow our plans and expectations to get in the way? I know that for myself, I continue to struggle with God's plan for my life because I simply do not allow Him the opportunity to lead. So maybe another question to ask yourself is this; Who is leading your life?
I have encouraged all the guys from our group to give responses to this blog entry so that we can share with everyone reading. But I also want to ask our readers to give a response to these questions in the comment box. We look forward to learning more about all of you and we will continue to fight the good fight together!
Kindest Blessings,
Andy Rea
I know that God wants me to resemble a true Christian by not only acting in faith but through good deeds as well. I pray every single day for God's wisdom, direction, and guidance in my life. I don't want to continue to live my life as a lukewarm Christian where 50% is living in obedience to his word and 50% is part of the world. His purpose for me is to live life as a God fearing man today, this month, this year, and the rest of my life.
ReplyDeleteBrian Said,
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking about these questions quite a bit the last couple of weeks. I still don't have a complete answer to these questions, but I am searching for them. Daily, I am spending more time alone with God and seeking His will. I am building my relationship with Him by learning more about his character and how he wants to work in this world. I am keeping aware by looking around me and seeing how God is at work and staying open to plugging into that work.
As far as the rubber meets the road, I believe God wants me to work with kids in Seaside's communtiy through Awana and Children's church, and I believe he wants me to be a Christian witness to my students and especially the kids that I coach on the basketball team. I feel like I am able to keep things in perspective much better than I have in the past, thanks to my involvement with BITE ministries, men's retreat, and our couple's small group. I thank God that He is working in me!
